I have an X reg Citreon Picasso in fair shape but it is giving me some problems. Over the last month, when you start it up and until it get warm it stalls (every point in a 3 point turn in our road). Can cope with that, just thought carbxxxx(cant spell this) needed tweaking. However, over past week, when i come to a junction or lights and have to stop the car doesnt just sit and idle, it starts to rev really bad, i have to put it in 'bite' mode to stop it but i realise thats not good. I need an idea about what is up with it and will need to get it sorted but like everybody i am so skint i need to do it as cheaply as possible. So bothered that i will be fleeced by a local garage as i dont know what i am talking about and they will just see a blond, thick female they can rob blind.
Appreciate your help.
Ok, the car is a 2001 model and yes, i do believe it is fuel injected. I am not suggesting i fix it, just that i feel there are some garages that are not entirely honest. By the same token i am sure there are plenty who are, I just dont know who in my area. I just thought it would be better to go with at least some idea of possible causes so i dont look so incompetent. I am neither thick or fat by the way and i would help anyone on here within my field of knowledge. I was of the opinion that this would apply to everyone else on here aswell!! There is no need to be offhand with someone if they ask a question.
