ok, that first girl, the brakes??? seriously? no, definately NOT THE BRAKES....its could be numerous thing, it could be the power steering pump itself, but probably not, or, the belt could be placed a little off, any one of the pulleys could be loose or bad, or power steering fluid is gettting on it and making the belt slip, its possible, but not usually the case, honestly, it sounds like the belt has worn out already, and one reason it could have worn so quickly is because the guy put it on wrong, plain and simple, i recommend new mechanic...

I recently replaced all the belts, and went back to my usual mechanic and said that they were all tight enough, and sprayed something on them to stop them from squeaking, but it didn't help.

It squeaks when I turn in on but if I rev the engine it stops, but lately after I do that and start driving it squeaks when I accelerate. And it does not go away until after a little while, I think when the car warms up.

Also, my power steering has a leak but I am constantly checking it and putting more in there making sure it has enough.

Mitsubishi Mirage '97, 170,000.

Thanks in advance.
