Why is my computer being difficult?

My problem is when I turn my computer on in the morning; I have to keep pushing the main button up to 17x. Otherwise my monitor does not want to turn on. But if I left my computer on and just hit log off; and log back in it will start. I'm noticing if I keep it running and don't let it cool off it works fine, but if I turn it off and it cools down over night I have the problems. My first guess was the monitor is going out, but its only 3 months old. Can you please help me? Thank You
 
chances are you have a solder spot going bad and once it heats up the solder spreads and then you get a display, it could be in your monitor, your motherboard, or video card
