I just bought a gateway laptop for christmas, it has 3gigs of ddr3 ram and an intel processor and windows 7 installed. I also have a Mac book pro with 4gigs of ddr3 ram and the same processor. Now i download my dvd collection to my laptops to save power and space. i just tried to use handbrake on my gateway computer and it estimates that is will take 212 hours to complete the task, while at the same time my macbook will do the same movie in 37 minutes. why is there such a drastic difference and is there anyway to fix it?
