Why is my Jewish girlfriend ashamed to introduce me to her family?

My girlfriend is Jewish and her family is very keen on her marrying a Jewish guy. We go to college together and have gotten to know each other and have been dating though. I told her since I love her so much she should tell her family about me now. But she's afraid to bring me over to meet her parents as she said she hasn't told them anything about the fact that I'm not Jewish, and she said they will be angry. What should I say to her? I feel like she's ashamed of me in some way yet she tells me she loves me so much. I love her and will do anything for her, and I don't even have any connection with any other religion even though I'm a gentile. I love to learn about her faith/heritage.
I'm in love with this girl and she's so beautiful in every way...but at the same time I'm starting to feel that Jews are rather arrogant and think of themselves as superior and that I'm being put down
 
They are a little nuts about who they let in the fold.......

Just let it go for a while. She will either face it or dump you so no use pushing it since that will just accelerate it.
 
It's not that she's ashamed of you, but that she knows they are going to disapprove. My guess is that she is waiting until the two of you are sure enough of each other that she's up to facing their disapproval for your sake. Frankly, if I were her, I would want to wait until we were engaged. Then I'd say, "Well, he's going to be your son-in-law whether you like him or not, so you may as well start getting used to the idea."

Point of information: Jewishness is passed through the mother, not the father. So her kids will be Jewish anyway, and your in-laws will accept them and gradually come to accept you for their sake. But you will need to be stubborn against their attempts to break you up.

All of which is to say that if you do not intend to get married, she is smart not to introduce you to them.
 
Just tap it while you can and forget about it. Is she hot?

PS don't listen to the guys telling you to become Jewish, you'll still be considered a 3rd class Jew by them.
