I just bought a new xfx 8600gt and i disabled my on-board graphics and went to bios so that my computer recognized the card that i put into the PCIe slot but when i put my card into the computer the monitor does not start up? I know that it is slotted in correctly and i have connected the monitor to the on-board graphics and the 8600gt. But when i take out the card and connect the monitor to the integrated graphics card it works. What is causing this to happen? All answers will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
