i have a manual non turbo 97 eclipse and when im driving on the highway in 5th gear and im going 70 mph my rpm is at 3000. is that normal? becuase i also have a 96 toyota camry that is a automatic, and when im going 70 mph in that the rpm is at 2500. are all cars different or is there something wrong wit my eclipse? because it seems to run fine with no problems.

Well a 4 speed automatic transmission and a 5 speed transmission are going to have different drive gear ratios and different final gear ratios. Sounds completely normal to me. Just two different cars. I have a 94 Camaro with a 5 speed that at 65 sits at 2500 rpms in 5th gear and a Mitsubishi Starion that at 65 in 5th gear i sit at just above 2000 rpms. Different final drive gear ratios.
