Why is our converter box delaying TV shows a few seconds back?

I was watching a movie and our outside tv does not have the converter box yet so its playing a show, but inside our other tv with the box it shows the same channel the outside one is showing but its a few seconds delayed like not even a few, like 5 seconds delayed then the outside one, how come?
