Because he is a spoiled athlete that has been handed everything his whole life because of his athletic ability.
So when things don't go the way he wants them, wah wah wah.
He actually seems more pizzed that he's not getting Big Ten awards, so it's not about Cam Newton so much as it is about probably Denard Robinson. He thinks that because Ohio State has won more games than Michigan and Northwestern that he should be considered a bigger deal in the conference than Denard and Dan Persa. In his statement, he actually referred to his preference for winning games than doing what Denard and Persa did while losing. What he fails to realize is that he did not perform all that well, particularly passing, in most of OSU's biggest games. In other words, they don't win BECAUSE of him--that's why he's not getting awards. But he's got the big head, thinking he has something to do with their biggest wins, plus he's jealous that people like Denard more.
