I live in a bustling, urban area, and while it gives me piece of mind to know there are people who want to serve and protect out and about, I don't understand why pairs of cops patrol in huge SUVs. Tax dollars should be spent more wisely than that. I can see where in some instances, police might need the extra space, but for simple patrol purposes, it makes no sense to me. If anyone can shed light on this or point me in a direction that might enlighten, please do. Thanks.
