Why is the NIssan Skyline illegal in the U.S but the G35 isnt even tho its a R34?

the illegal skyline is definitely not the same engine as the G35.

1. The Skyline doesn't remotely pass US emissions.
2. It does not pass US safety requirements.
3. It was never marketed to the US, so it is illegal to import.
4. The G35 is NOT ANYTHING like the Japanese Skyline R33, R32, etc..

It has an engine designed for US use. It was designed for export. It was made legal for sale in the US.

100% different.

Might as well ask why cigarettes are legal, but smoking crack isn't.
