Why isn't illegal immigration an issue in the News media right now?

Since there are over 1,500,000 per year added to our country, where do you suppose they are going to work?
Oh, the construction industry, I thought this was one of the area's the Stimulus would work on. But aren't those jobs that Americans don't want to do?
Where is the Media?

I would assume illegal immigration isn't an issue right now because the whole world is bogged down in economic issues, and everything else is taking a back seat to that.

~~To my knowledge most of the illegal immigrants are returning to their own countries. There is no work here. I think some of these countries may be worrying about americans jumping the border at this point :)

Starve all people, and you get rid of illegal immigrants very quickly. The media is so busy covering the economic meltdown, they have no time to speak of anything else.~~

Illegal Immigration does not exist. Only Illegal Immigrants exist.

Too much stuff about Money & job losses to talk about. As Mr Obama said - "The situation could not be more serious......this not a time for politics as usual when American people are being put out of work"


I'm English by the way, and picked this up from the news today. Don't you watch your President and what he has to say already?
