I'm having problems with Yahoo Messenger through Mobile IM for the past 3 days. I go to sign in and get a Timeout message and it states that it did not receive a response from the IM server. I will also get an Error 54 message stating the Yahoo Messenger Service is Unavailable, Please try again later.
I'm using a Verizon Wireless Blitz Titanium phone.
A few things I have tried:
- Resetting the Mobile IM application several times to "wash out" any incorrect information or settings. This still doesn't help me connect.
- Logging into my Yahoo Messenger account with a personal and work computer. I can get onto messenger there, so my account settings appear to be correct. I've tried to get on Mobile IM while connected and not connected by computer. There is no difference.
- I can use every other "internet" aspect of my phone, I can even log into Windows Live via Mobile IM, but Yahoo Messenger does not work. It doesn't appear to be the program.
- My girlfriend has a Verizon Wireless phone as well, and is logged in to Yahoo Messenger via Mobile IM. It doesn't appear to be a signal/server problem, as she is connected.
- I've tried clearing my internet cache and settings. I don't know if this would help or not, but I tried it.
- I've tried rebooting my phone.
If anyone has any other suggestions or recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
