why isn't my internet working after i restarted my computer?

the other day i've installed samsung PC program so i can put music and other files in my phone. after i restarted my computer my internet stopped working. i uninstalled the samsung program and it's still not working. The router i'm using says that its working but its not. i checked my brother's computer and the internet is working and his wire is connected to the same router. i tired system restore but that didn't work. i tried moving the wire to another socket and i tried repairing and disable/enabling the connection but all that didn't work.

Samsung--that alone screams foul!! Evidently, the program you installed must have corrupted your router's driver files, given you've checked all the physical hardware and find nothing wrong.

I'd install the router's software and use it's CD to reinstall those drivers. Follow the install CD's instructions---and I think that will solve matters.
