Iv just bought a Shure SM58 microphone and tried to run it through Benhringers mic100 preamp to do some vocal recording on cubase sx. However the preamp isnt picking up anything from the microphone. I know that the mic works as iv tried to directly plug it into the pc but the recording volume comes out way too low. the preamp works cos iv used it before many times with other mics. my question is why wont they work together. am i being blind to something very obvious here?
If anyone could help it would be very much appreciated.....
hey thanks for the reply. its a XLR to XLR cable so i dont know how im supposed to tell but im sure it should be stereo.
earlier I left everything off for a while n when i switched it on for some reason I had it for a few seconds. now im really confused.
