Why isn't Rick Scott of Florida laughed out of the political arena?

How could the Teeps and conservatives support a "save money, balanced budget, good government" candidate who was charged OVER A BILLION DOLLARS in fines for stealing from Medicare and other government programs?

Are they TRYING to give the election to the colorless corporate/government drone, Alex Sink?
Why would anyone take a criminal like Scott seriously as some sort of a reformer?

Is Scott's best campaign argument "I'll protect you from people like me"?

I don't know who he is, but I have been laughing at Dennis Kucinich and Nancy Pelosi for some time now, and they haven't left the political arena
