Why isn't the blinker on my brothers truck working.?

The left blinker on my brothers truck doesn't work right.
It will work sometimes, but very slowly.
And others it won't work at all.
What would be the cause of this and how would he goo about fixing it.?
These are his words: "The left blinker works when my lights are on. When my lights are off, the blinker doesn't work outside, but the signal is on solid inside the truck."

It is the fuse, or check the bulb. Easy fix about 2 dollars.

There is obviously a loose end of the wire, or shortage (as just mentioned). But these signal systems are not sophisticated in any way.

Just reccomend to him to check the wiring on the indicator end of the cable.
