Recently my computer attracted a serious virus and I had to completely wipe everything and start again. Upon reboot the speakers work fine with my audio and video files played in normal applications like WinAmp and Windows Media Player, but I then went to YouTube and found that, although I got pictures, I had no sound.
After a bit of exploring I've found the same is true for all of the audio files I've tried to play directly from the internet - am I missing a plug-in or something? If so, which one?
I have Shockwave Flash, Divx, Directx, Quicktime, Realplayer and Java installed.
