If i get this straight with an honest heart i ask this question. We all love the same god, some of us know his name some of us try to find him through churches. some just have faith. All of you why do you argue about religion?

If i didnt hold so much love for God & Jesus Christ i would say this angers me! I see many things wrong with the world even inside religion. Why do you persist to fight in this section? I ask religious people only.

All the others not religious if you do not believe in god then why do you ask questions to those who do? Is it because in truth you seek answers of a spiritual sense? Or is it the fact that you try to test our faith?

Love god together like we are suppose to. Are we not told to not fights against each other?

Brother or Sister . . I agree in part. I never argue over sppiritual matters. However I do persist with my spiritual guidance & message. I should never tire of spreading the good news. I do tend to try to stay out of the way of the crack pots & trolls.

Exactly even though I am hindu i agree totally i saw an atheist say if all the the atheists made there own country it would be the best but it could not be because of the need for gods will. But we should not fight the vedas say look for the good and never fight

Neither. You make false and irrational claims---and you should not be surprised by questions.

You ask: " All the others not religious if you do not believe in god then why do you ask questions to those who do? Is it because in truth you seek answers of a spiritual sense? Or is it the fact that you try to test our faith?"

Yes to the second question. If you say your faith is that strong, it will hold up. For those who are questioning, they need others who've made the passage from belief to disbelief helping them out. Too many people waste their lives questioning because they didn't get help, but in fact got more fear and threats given to them from other believers and so they never progress.

Atheists are not here to deconvert any 'true believer'. They are here for the interesting topics, the debate and to help people who need it or a different combinations of those reasons.

And yeah. "faith" damages this world we live in and the people who live in it. It has to be questioned. Unchecked, faith is deadly.

Excuse me ??

Your Christ accepted those who were different to him. He did not harass anyone or demanded that everyone thinks the way he did. Shame you can't be more Christlike.

We "fight" because people like you cannot see what is offensive in your very words here..

We "fight" because your entire attitude here is bully, belittling and badgering others because we believe differently to you.

We do not "ALL LOVE THE SAME God" Just this statement alone is suggesting that everyone who does not follow your personal Christian sect, are deluded in who we 'worship'.

The rest is just more misguided (OK maybe honestly held but still misguided) bollocks.

The pathway to your hell is paved by good intentions.

Open your eyes.

"Different" is not justification to bully others.

I can only shake my head in disbelief at some of the craziest questions. Where do some people come up with that stuff? It is, indeed, pointless to argue, but I do feel extreme pity for most of them.

I also do not understand why we Christians who stand up for our beliefs are accused of "forcing religion down their throats". I am only left with the suspicion that they just do not want to admit that they are wrong, and I also sense a little bit of false bravado that they have made the wrong decision.

Debate is an excellent way to learn. Since I have been here I have learned so much about religious beliefs, the bible, the Quran, logical fallacies, Occam's razor, Pascal's wager, Evolution, the Big Bang, humanism, agnosticism, nihilism, American politics, philosophy, near death experiences, discovered Bill Maher, been recommended books and linked websites and videos which have taught me a lot.

To hold any belief with honesty you need to be able to defend it. You should welcome challenges to it and learn how to answer them and look into opposing points of view honestly and change your mind if you are wrong. For that reason it is very useful to debate. Its also interesting and I don't like TV.

I think it's about misunderstand, and people fearing that other denominations trample over things they hold sacred, or have doctrines which are different from their own. Maybe that is challenging to them, but it really shouldn't be.

I wrote a book about how destructive religious intolerance can be. It's called The Saved Saint. Take a look!

I don't believe in gods. I ask questions on here because I genuinely want to know the answer. I will sometimes give sarcastic answers when someone asks a troll-like question. However, all I ask is for people not to try and force their gods/beliefs on me, or tell me I'm evil and going to hell because I don't agree with them. We all have different beliefs/thoughts, and no matter what they are we should have respect enough to realise that they are personal and shouldn't force them on anyone else.
