Why should a store owner insist that his customers speak English?

Do you think this is fair, afterall it's a business open to everyone and the reality is not every one speaks English.
 
Because he is standing up for his country and culture. When people come to your country and they don't even have the respect to try to learn your language it very disrespectful. Here in the US, we have millions of illegal immigrants. Many of them don't even attempt to learn the language. I know this because I talked with a guy from Mexico about this once. He told me that he knew a lot of illegals who have been in the US for 5 or more years, and they still haven't tried to learn English. The American immigrants of the early 20th century were very different. They wanted to fit in to American society, and they learned English, and they assimilated in to the American culture. I go to stores and restaurants all the time, and I get frustrated when I can't communicate with the employees because they can barely speak English. I mean, how many times do I have to repeat
"CHEESEBURGER WITHOUT PICKLES"!
 
It depends on the type of business...
