Why should Christ's birth NOT be celebrated?

Dear Friend,
I am a Christian, and I live my life... like Christ. And no offense, but our 'common' sense is anti-God.
Please let me explain about the celebration of Christmas. The word 'holiday' means ...vacation, so that is ridiculous to start off with. And...only a Holy God can institute Holy days. A "Holy" day is set apart by God for His people. Not by the people for God. Does that make sense?
God did not institute Jesus' birthday as a Holy day. If you even understood what was taking place concerning the birth of Jesus it was a horrific time. King Herod was informed by the wise men (who weren't really wise after all, because they would have gone back and told King Herod where Jesus was if it had not been for an Angel that told them ...not to go back and tell the King). Yes, it was these wise men who told King Herod that a child was born and was called the "King of Jews." Herod was afraid that this child might one day steal his kingship and so he commanded that every male child 2 years old and younger be ....murdered. Slaughtered. This was not a time to celebrate.
Not only that...but how can the godless celebrate something that is supposed to be set apart for... "believers?" Does that make sense? Passover is a Holy day. Why? Because God...instructed that His people are to celebrate the Passover, and to "remember" it.
Holidays are for this world. Christian's are to be set apart ...and not conform to the traditions of this world. Holy days are set apart for God's people. Christian's should be celebrating only what God declares to celebrate; that which is in His Word.
Even scripture tells us NOT to put "TREES" in our houses and decorate them.
Jeremiah 10:2-5 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15

Some don't because they say No one truly knows what Day Chirst was born on. Some say it was in October, some say it was in the spring. So a few Christians don't want to take part on a day that was perhaps just guessed up as his birthday when it may be just another day, so they choose to worship Christ everyday in their lives, not just one day.

You know Christmas predates Christianity? It just wasn't called Christmas and other gods were believed to had been born on that day. Its pagan much like your god

Considering the fact that December 25 couldn't of been his Birth, it's hard to locate knowing this was 2044 years ago (2011 since his death, 33 when he was crucified) it's difficult. No records of him are given, as he was not born in a hospital or clinic, and they would of perished anyhow.
From recent studies, the desert where Jesus was birthed (Bethlehem) was below freezing and was icy at night. There is no possible way a bare clothed child, raggedly clothed couple, and several barn animals could of survived the blistering cold. Instead, most people predict either before in the fall (October, September, etc.) or after in the spring (April, May, etc.) but because Christmas has been celebrated on the 25 for so long, might as well keep it that way. Especially since the day is difficult to find as well.

First of all I am for any day that makes people think of our Savior.But we don"t really celebrate Jesus' birthday because the scriptures tell us that He was born in the month of April.Man decided to celebrate it in December. It is not a religious holiday. Many things were changed to fit the man made version of His birth such as the three wise men were actually many caravans of people.And Jesus was about two years old when they came to see Him.In the scriptures it tell of people who worshiped trees.They would nail the tree to the floor and worship it.I think that's why people try to say that celebrating Christmas is pagan,but it is not pagan if we are not worshiping the tree or believing that it is a Holy day because its not.Try to celebrate His birth everyday.May peace be with you.
