why should history remember former president Gerald Ford?

So I'm doing a project on presidents for school and I need three reasons why history should remember Gerald Ford. I have that he was the first unelected president, and I said he should be remembered as a forgiver for pardoning Nixon for that whole watergate scandal. And I don't know what else to say I can't find anything so can someone please help me? I obviously don't know much about this guy D:

Nixon would have spent the rest of his life in prison if not for him. He also has the distinction of being the only president since the great depression to not involve the US in any wars.

he was never a running mate so he is the only one to hold the office of the presidency without being elected.
