Why so some feminists complain?

about pornography being degrading to women considering women clearly earn more money than the men involved and CHOOSE to join the porn industry as a career move.

because it projects to men and the world that women are sex objects and because it shows unrealistic women (skinny, plastic surgery).

These 2 things are main points that the feminist community is trying to address.

Really? You know that women earn more doing that than men? Have you been on a few casting call yourself, you naughty boy? What about gay porn? Does the bottom earn more than the top? What about lesbian porn? What if you're only the person who keeps the main guy "ready" between scenes? Your familiarity with both the porn industry and individual's reasons for being involved in it fascinate me. I don't know why you've kept all this scintillating information to yourself for so long.

some women do not choose it, while yes others do.
some cannot get work anywhere else

it is quite degrading. it makes women seem like objects. im sure the men who buy the top shelf magazines wouldnt think about getting into a serious discussion with one of the girls with her 'assets' out.

though i personally do not care about porn
i understand why some people get upset about it but i just dont.
some people dont like how publicly displayed they are
which quite farely they are
the top shelf of a corner shop is visible to children
but i dont think they should be hidden
then they wouldnt get sold

maybe put a wrapper over them or something ? or have more covered up women on the front

Actually, I've seen more "Traditional" women have a fit and fall in it over porn than feminists. Porn is one of the few fields where the female stars make more than the men.

I have no sense of threat from women who work in that field.
It would not be my career choice, nor one I would wish for my daughter...but it is legal work.
