1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is ONE God, and ONE mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus."
They do not. It's a common misunderstanding of the Catholic faith and even many non-Catholic Christians don't seem to understand the difference between "honoring" and "worshiping".
IconicMe - ignore those two. You are one of the "people of the book" and Muslims are not supposed to talk to you that way. When they act like those two just did they are directly contradicting the Quran and the words of the prophet himself. Hopefully their fellow Muslims will correct them as such behavior makes them all look bad, just like it does with people of any faith when their fellows behave poorly.
Hi, I am Catholic, we don't worship Her, we ask Her to intercede for us to Jesus to help us. We can just pray to Jesus directly as well, but it's like asking His mom to talk to Him for us (like put in a good word lol)
I find its good to ask Her for help when you want to talk about female stuff, again I don't worship Her. I mean she did give birth to the Son of God, and Jesus wants us Catholics to be nice to His mother!! =)

I think the people you are talking about are Catholics. Yes it is bad. God said not to worship any idols and these people seem to hold Mary in such a high regard, which is wrong imo.
I do not adhere to the cult of the Virgin or mariology.
