Why such slow internet?

I have broadband (1500kbs speed) and was previously getting download speeds of around 140KB - 150KB per second, but recently all of a sudden, it has been really slow and when i look at the download speed (in firefox) it is like 4KB per second and takes ages to download stuff.

Why is this happened? Here is what i do know:
-1500Kb/s download speed
-256 upload speed
-Have no viruses or spyware (as these low speeds are affecting all the computers in the house

Heh your downloading and uploading speed is not bad.. Internet seems running slow lately, after doing some research, I have found 5 major reasons why you have a slow Internet connection, let me share it with you:

Reason #1 - Infected by Virus and Spyware, and they constantly consume my Internet bandwidth to send private information or establish a connection to the hacker's computer, this will breach Windows firewall because a port has been open and used to allow the hacker to gain access to your computer anytime!
