Why will Apple stop giving free bumpers for the iphone 4 if purchased

after September 30? Are they going to start selling "fixed" iphone 4's without antenna problems? Why else would they stop (except that it is costing them a lot)?
would these two months be a bad time to buy an iPhone 4?

Because you will get it when you buy the phone after Sept. 30. You won't have to go through the process of getting one after the fact. You'll just get it upfront.

I'm waiting until they fix the antenna to buy mine. Dropped calls are a problem I don't want to deal with. I'd rather wait a few months.

they may feel that if someone hasn't experienced the problem or hasn't acted on it they don't really need the 'fix'.
also, anytime is a bad time to buy any mac product. too proprietary, and at&t is the worst..
