I bought a 50 pack of Verbatim DVD-R disks to burn some of my movies of back up some of my valuables onto them, only to find out that my computer wont recognize them! I put them in both my drives and nothing happens. No burning software or "my computer" notices the disk is in. what's going on!
These are the DVD's http://www.verbatim.com/products/detail.cfm?product_id=9272145A-65B0-5A0F-83EC03DB811D4058&cat_id=376289FC-0DA6-4CDC-A1AEEE40C39DC2D9

It could be that the DVD burner can't burn to DVD-R discs. It would depend on how old it is mostly.Use this tool and you'll know for sure if it can use them or not.If it says it can then you have other problems. The first things I would try is running a cleaner disc in the burner and seeing if there is a firmware update available for it.

If you want to burn any movies onto DVD, you should use the right software, there is an easy way, you can try RZ DVD Creator, it can create standard video DVD from any movies, it can burn mulit videos to one disc, it can auto fit the size, it can directly convert and burn any videos to DVD(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-DL, DVD+DL, etc), such as avi to DVD, etc.

Work well on my computer, good quality, so so easy to use, following is a step by step guide about Video DVD Creator:

Hope it can help you.
