I put the battery back into the car. The car seems to have power, but when I try to turn the engine over, nothing happens. The battery has sat for about a year. Is it possible that the car won't start because the battery doesn't have enough juice or is it something else?
It is an Everstart battery. The digital clock on the dashboard came on so I think it still has power, but do you think that maybe it doesn't have enough power to at least engage the starter?
Thanks. I will try charging the battery and see what happens after that.

the battery is probably dead also is it a no-maintenance battery?

If the engine rotates from the starter turning it, but won't start, there may be other problems. A battery sitting for a year may be weakened, but if it has enough juice to rotate the engine at near normal starting rotation, the engine should start. try a jumpstart. Charge the battery. Make sure the car has fuel and the fuel pump works. If a battery doesn't get a top-up charge for long periods of time it can lose some capacity permanently.
