why wont my blackberry pearl flip 8230 let me do anything?

I cannot click on nothing or choose anything it just stays on the home screen. It hasn't been dropped no water damage or anything. Has anybody else had this problem or no how to fix it without buying a whole new phone?
 
your pearl may have been infected by a virus...So, just try formatting your phone and memory card ,if this doesn't work only a service center can help you.
