Why won't my Flip Video appear for editing in Arcsoft Showbiz DVD 2 ?

I shoot small video clips with my Flip HD video camera. I'd like to then import it into ArcSoft's Showbiz DVD 2 for editing but Showbiz does not list the Flip video as a format it supports. I think the Flip video format is mpeg and Showbiz says it supports mpeg's, so what am I missing?

I have been converting the Flip video to a Quicktime movie and then bringing it in to Showbiz,but I loose the HD and some quality.
