Last night i just hooked up the internet to the wii (8 months after we buy it......... lol!!!) is it true that you can use the internet on the wii, like getting on to you tube or to check my email??? Ive been on the shop channel weatherchannel and news channel, but how do you get on the regular internet???
Thanks!
ok, so how much money is 500 points and where can i buy it?
also... is the internet worth it, and do i need to buy it like once a month, or does it not exprie once you buy it?

You have to buy the internet channel for 500 wii points off the Wii Shop Channel. You click on Start Shopping and click on WiiWare.

You can also buy a USB keyboard so you don't have to use the painful on-screen keyboard.

Each Wii Point cost 1 penny. You must buy a minimum of 1000 (It won't let you buy any lower) for $10 (plus a little tax, not that much). On the bottom of the Menu after clicking Start Shopping, there should be "Add Wii Points" or something similar. You can buy them with a credit/debit card or Wii Points card available at most stores.

When you buy it, it never expires. When you buy it, you buy it. It's yours forever.

The Internet Channel only supports Flash Player 7. It does not support java. You can use Youtube and stuff like that, but not a lot of java games on the internet.

Well, not many people actually buy wii points anymore. We get them free from here:

All you have to do is fill out surveys. Once you have enough "points" to get your prize, you choose wii points in the available prizes, and the number will be emailed to you. It doesn't take that long. Hopefully you'll try it! And yeah, it's totally worth it. You can access youtube and your email, but I wouldn't type out an email out.
