I just moved into a new apartment and last week I learned that the entire complex has a scorpion problem. Had I known about this, I wouldn't have signed a lease. I've always heard cats take care of scorpions and they're immune to the sting of a scorpion. I want to know if getting a cat will do anything to help this infestation of disgusting, creepy, horrible creatures or do I just have to live with these unwanted room mates?
I don't want to hunt them, I'm terrified of scorpions. I just want them gone.
It's honestly affecting my sleep, I'm so petrified of them.

What you need to do it contact Environmental Control about the infestation. You can probably get our of your lease because of that, if it wasn't made to your knowledge before signing the lease, they mislead you.

I dont know about a cat, probably one sting, and he,s not going to mess with another one.

PS, If you want to hunt scorpions, get a black light,
we used to hunt them as a kid.

NO!!!! Your cat at the very least can get sick if bitten by a scorpion. I'm not sure where you live but you best bet to get rid of scorpions, is either chickens, which, in an apartment is out of the question. Or a hedgehog. These little guys will hunt out scorpions as a special delicacy in their diet. The love them and are unable to be stung by a scorpion. Hedgehogs can roam your house, and the cat can not hurt it. Get some education on the care of hedgehogs first tho, if you decide to get one.
