Will a chevy s 10 automatic transmission bolt up to a 1998 isuzu hombre 4.3 liter?

I have a 98 isuzu hombre that needs a transmission(automatic). Do you know how much a used one would cost if i put in myself? Also, would a transmission from a chevy s 10 fit becuase they were made by the same company i believe.
 
Probably not...the bell housing and bolt patterns are probably different. You're looking at the difference between a 4-cylinder and an 8?-cylinder. Also, if the transmission is off of a four-cylinder S-10, then it probably won't last long under the torque and strain a V8 would put on the gears and drive shaft.

And for what you'll pay for a used tranny for the car, let alone one that fuctions properly, you're probably better off to buy another car exactly the same that's ready to go.
