I've never owned an iPad before and we're looking to buy a 1st generation one because my son was just diagnosed with autism and they have some awesome apps that help in his therapies. We can't afford any of the new ones but we found a 1st generation one we're thinking of buying. Will all the current apps work with the 1st generation iPad? Do you have to buy into a monthly data plan or can I just connect to my home's wi-fi?
