I was thinking of upgrading my pre-built system with a better graphics card. Currently I am running with 2 ATI Radeon HD 4550s crossfire ready. I do not know if the new Optiplex PCs are upgradeable and was wondering if I have the ability to simple insert it or not. Will I need to upgrade my RAM as also?
My System specs are:
-ntel® Core™ i7 Quad Core Processor 860 with VT (2.80GHz, 8M)
-4GB DDR3 Non-ECC SDRAM, 1333MHz, (4 DIMM
-DUAL 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4550 (2 cards 2 DP & 2 DVI)
-Power Supply is 355W
I am a big noob when it comes to Hardware as I am not the best. I did not find out my motherboard cause I do not know how to reconize motherboards, but what ever comes with a Dell Optiplex 980 is the one I have.
Can anyone help?
