Will a misdemeanor prevent me from entering Canada?

As a 17 year old, I got a misdemeanor for driving without my valid license. However, I am now 18 and my court hearing is in two days. I was reading how Canadian Immigration officials reject people with criminal records. I have been to Canada before but now I have to go visit family, and I am not sure if they will send me back to the U.S or not.
