Will Acer erecovery still be on my Laptop with I switch Operating Systems?

Just what it says; I'm planning on switching to Linux Ubuntu on my Acer ZG5 Laptop, and I was wondering if the Acer erecovery tool will remain if I erase windows entirely, in case I'd like Windows XP back.

If the program is to be lost when I switch, can anyone give me any advice on how to move it to an external hard-drive or bury it in a permanent directory?
