I'm getting my android Motorola milestone flashed to cricket when I get that done will the flashing delete all my Apps also will it delete my contacts and if I don't get it "fully flashed" and just semi flashed that means just enough to get it turned on what wont work?
Free apps would be lost while purchased apps would remain in the market - you'd just need to go into your app menu download them again. I suggest using a back up utility for apps, texts and other items. Titanium may be good.
