Will an Ipad bought in USA work in Ireland?

I'm going on holidays to America next month and want to buy an ipad to use in Ireland,

im just wondering will it be compatible with 3g, wifi, and other features here,

also is it ok to sign into my Ireland Itunes account on an America ipad or will that matter.

I just want to make sure before i spend $500+ on it.
