The signing of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010 reduced substantially the uncertainty about the future of health care reform and Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER). However, with US Congressional leaders suggesting various strategies to repeal or defund this legislation, CER's future appears to be less certain.
