i only just started, but usually i cycle for 10 minutes x2, with weights, jump rope, and an ab workout in between.
i don't put it on high resistance, so i'm not pushing that hard, but i'm going at a medium pace. (the thing says i burn 100 cals for every 10 minutes)

i want to be toned, but i don't want defined calves or muscular thighs. i just want to be thinner! haha

also, i've been eating around 1200 cals a day.

thanks! xx

Generally, cycling makes your calves bigger. My brother's friend is an avid cyclist, and his calves are like POW!

It's like lifting weights.

A low resistance over a long period of time = tone
very heavy resistance over a short period of time = build muscle

So long as you set it to medium or light resistance and go for a long time it'll burn fat not build bulk.
