It may be a virus. but to answer your question, yes maybe. If it was my computer a.) I wouldn't have downloaded lime-wire, but assume i got a wild hair to do so. uninstall lime-wire. Run a virus scan, if it picks something up, problem may be solved. if its still low, check the task manager for a program using alot of cpu, if its something like aol.exe or w/e then that's normal. but if you see some off the wall program like sf56fd5gfy.exe using 90% of your cpu, you may be infected. none of this is a guaranteed, but it is a start.
There is a possibility that yes your computer can be fine after deleting limewire but always scan your computer for viruses and malware just to be sure. The thing is that I've heard alot bad things about that limewire. But now I watched the news yesturday about these teenage girls that downloaded limewire for to hear music and all their parents had some personal info stored on that computer such as tax files and all that and when those teenage girls downloaded limewire they gave a hacker access to their computer! And the hacker commited identity theft now the parents did not even knew about the identity theft until they found out that they owed like so many money to the IRS just because of the hacker. Now the parents of those teenage girls had saved some money for those girls to get an education in college and guess what? That they had to use even that money that they had saved for their childrens education to recover from the identity theft. So I really don't recommend anyone to download limewire.
