Rogers customer? I currently have a contract with Rogers (my5 plan). The new iPhone 3G comes out on July 11th.

Will I be able to just go and buy the iPhone and use it with my current contract/SIM card, without having to agree to a new special 3G contract? If I DO have to agree to a new contract, will my old one be ripped up?
Gabe: I reside in Canada. The only 2 networks that have the iPhone in Canada will be Rogers and Fido. There's no AT&T here.

Well, if you're eligible to upgrade (by Rogers' standards) then the contract should be the same, only you're adding the unlimited data plan (prices unreleased for Rogers). It would renew your contract for two years.

Im not sure. In America, its sold through AT&T, & if ur an existing customer, you would have to get an add-on iPhone data plan, so you have ur old plan & a data plan added on as well. Maybe Rogers will do something like that as well.

The iPhone 3G will only be sold with a 2 year agreement with AT&T.

You will have to sign on the dotted line with AT&T before even leaving the store. You can't work the new iPhone without AT&T.

If you sign with AT&T, you basically are cancelling the Rogers contract, and will have to deal with any early termination fees. (usually around $200)

If your contract is going to be up soon, then I suggest waiting. But if not, I think you're just going to have to pay the money to have that amazing phone ;)
