Will i be scared on my first time cruising :/?

I'm only 15 and i am worried for storms and high waves. i have seen way too many videos on youtube with scary waves hahaha! were you scared your first time?

I knew someone who went on a cruise. While the ship was docked at a port he decided to go for a swim. A shark bit off his leg and the cruise ship refused to reimburse him. He took them to court for damage but the case was dragged on for 6 years. He became so exhausted from the whole thing that he committed suicide, so yeah I'd be pretty upset.

usually such climate does not hit in cruise areas. you should be ok
people overemphasize the disasters.
it is like on the news: you see how so many people did this and that bad stuff. you dont see reports of perfectly normal behavior
