im going to playa del carmen and i want to know if my att cell is gonna work down there! please help

No it will work in Mexico.You need to unlock your Mobile Phone from AT&T Network...To Unlock it you can use unlock code....Visit the site Unlock-free.com get the Unlock code at free of cost for old phones and unlock it from AT&T network and use any gsm network sim card in Mexico.
