Will my Yorkie 'mark his territory' less if I castrate him?

Hes peeing in the same place and knows it. Everytime he pees and I get near it he runs and hides. He is 9 months old. We absolutely know he knows what he did is wrong, we walk him 5 times a day. So my question is if he is neutered will he stop, or will it continue.
BTW, I do NOT want to castrate him, I will consider it if this will make him stop. Please do not lecture me on neutering him because I already know, I already asked that question.
 
He will probably do it less. The younger you castrate the more chance there is that the behavior will improve. Although I have 2 male yorkies, both of them around 13 years old and they STILL mark in the house. Yorkies are notoriously hard to housebreak.
