will smoking make my soar throat worse?

It's new years eve!! I never ever smoke, I just really want to smoke tonight, a black an mild, not a disgusting cigarette, yet I have a mildly soar throat. Will smoking that Black n Mild really make it that much worse?? I'm 19 years old and am male..
