I have a screened in porch with outdoor carpeting. One of the screens tore away and the backyard bugs and mosquitoes took advantage of the situation. I sprayed and outdoor fogger on the porch and am wondering when it would be safe to let my dogs walk on the carpeting, since the product can be harmful if absorbed through the skin. This product is highly toxic to fish and birds.

You'd be better off just buying some citronella candles next time. They work better & they won't hurt your animals. Using spray poison/insecticide in/around your household, if you have pets, is a big no-no.

That stuff is usually oil based, so it sticks around long enough to be effective. I wouldn't allow your pets out there for at least 72 hours. Whenever you do allow them out, it's a good idea to thoroughly wash their paws afterward. And, if they lay out there, put a blanket down so they're not rolling around in poison.

Read the label on the can

It should have info on domesticated animals, if not you can goggle the product or company and call them directly. Your other option is to call a poison center.
