The Houston Rockets have offered Jeremy Lin a $25 million contract over three seasons. The New York Knicks have three days to match in order to keep Linsanity in New York. Earlier in the offseason, rumors persisted that the Knicks would match any offer. However, the latest talk is that the Knicks might actually let Lin join the Rockets.
Personally, I just can’t believe that the Knicks would give up on Linsanity. Not only is Lin a really good player, the attention he brought the team was stunning. When he was rolling last season, the Knicks were the number one story in all of sports.
As for Lin, I wonder if he’s secretly hoping the Knicks will match. While Houston is still a big market, it’s nothing compared to New York. In NYC, Lin could become a legend.
We’ll know one way or another by Tuesday. I think the Knicks keep Lin. What do you think? Leave a comment below.
