Will the orthodontist take my braces off if i ask?

Ive had mine on for over 1 1/2 years. They are perfectly straight, the only thing they've been working on is my bite. I seriously think they dont know what theyre doing because it makes my bite worse. I want them off before my sophomore year of high school, can they hold me hostage if i ask them to take them off, now? My bite FEELS perfect when i bite down.
